There are organizations which work hand in hand with government and the private sectors. They serve as a link , a ticket to work jobs between prospective employers and the person with disability. In fact there a program called ,surprise, surprise, Ticket to Work. As a partner to employers, they recruit talented workers with disability to work in an industry where they will qualify. The industry that open their doors to person with disability are in aircraft manufacturing, industrial machine manufacturer, transportation logistics, schools, and IT infrastructure.
The beauty of this partnership with the bigwigs of the industry is the impairment of a person can be overcome with an excellent training, thus making them competitive and easy to get employment if the person with disability decides to change jobs. So far, the Federal Government has employed 7% of the disabled all over the states. Data on the numbers of person with disability employed by private industry is not reported yet but it is sure that private companies hire talented people, disabled or not.
