Reasons why parents or guardians join twitter

Twitter is not a favorite site of mine. I work well with sites like Facebook because they are very easy to use. I did not even know how to use the site and I had to be taught by a workmate on how to tweet when I asked her how do you tweet someone. She could not believe that I did not know how to do so and she asked me why the sudden interest in twitter and yet I was crazy about Facebook and never thought that I could ever tweet. I told her that my niece whom I was watching was in to some weird relationship with a boy and she was active on twitter so I wanted to know what she was up to. I was going to befriend her and the boy to see what they were up to and see if she was safe or not. My workmate did not even question further she told me that with the user name of my sister, I should press on the shift key and the @ button simultaneously and then follow it up with the user name. It was not as hard as I had expected and I was ready to get in to teenage hood.
